When it comes to turning your deck dreams into reality, you can trust Loudoun Deck and Fence to work with you from inception to completion.
To give you an idea of how we approach the process, let’s walk through some aspects of a typical deck project:
Planning and Design
We’ll ask a few questions to begin planning how and where you’ll use your deck:
Where will the deck be located on the house? We suggest you design your deck space as you would any room in your home. It wouldn’t be prudent to plan a room that started or stopped in the middle of a window or doorway. You should consider keeping the perimeter of your deck below your windows, to avoid viewing your outdoor railings from the windows. And, you’ll want to plan easy access to the home, usually from the kitchen. We’ll also help you work around obstacles that extrude from the house, such as water spigots, dryer vents, below-deck windows, down spouts, etc.
How close can the deck be to your property lines? Working with your site plan, we’ll review the setbacks and easement requirements to be sure we’re keeping your deck within acceptable building codes.
